user-focused & capacity engaged evaluation
I collaborate closely with my clients to ensure the methods, processes and products are informed by what decisions need to be made, who's invested in and impacted by those decisions, and the current capacity to participate in and act on those decisions. This helps to create a project that is useful and informative vs. just ticking a box in a funding proposal.
Learning Together
Good research partnerships are ones where the person asking the questions, the person answering them, and the person analyzing and writing up what was said can all learn from each other.
qualitative research
While I'm formally trained in both qualitative and quantitative research, my true passion is in the qualitative. I enjoy working on projects where both numbers and stories are respected equally.
Strength-based
When one can explore challenges from a strength-based perspective, the questions don't lead to more questions and the impacts are more longstanding.
